The application describes an improvement in an apparatus for measuring the lifter pressure of a seamer for doubly seaming a can end to a can barrel by clamping a body (l) of the apparatus between a lifter plate (l0l) and a seaming chuck (200) and elongating the body to a predetermined extent. The sensing of oil hydraulic pressure, transmission of oil hydraulic pressure to a pressure gauge and pointer display of the pressure are changed respectively into the sensing of pressure by a load cell (l0) transmission of the pressure as an electric signal and digital display of the pressure. |
