PURPOSE:To improve the sealing effect and the working efficiency, by hardening a resin to connect and fix a face plate and a front glass, and pouring an adhesive in a space between the face plate and the front glass. CONSTITUTION:A paste-form photo-hardening resin 51 as a sealing agent is piled up and spread at the periphery of a face plate 1a. The periphery of a front glass 2 is contacted to the paste-form photo-hardening resin 51 piled up and spread at the periphery of the face plate 1a, and ultraviolet rays are radiated to a cathoderay tube main body 1 to harden the photo hardening resin 51 to connect and fix the front glass 2 to the face plate 1a, making a space of adhesion between the both bodies 2 and 1a. Then, after the cathode-ray tube main body 1 is inclined at an angle theta, a transparent adhesive 8 is poured and filled from a dispenser 7 to the space between the face plate 1a and the front glass 2. And finally the filled adhesive 8 is hardened. In such a way, a cathode- ray tube with a good working efficiency producing no resin leakage can be manufactured.
