PURPOSE:To impose image information on a reproduced image to display the image by imposing image information on an image under their corresponding state and then writing the imposed video signal in a memory circuit as it is. CONSTITUTION:A video signal read out from a linear speed fixing type disk and demodulated by an FM demodulator is inputted to an input terminal 1, a part of it is inputted to a character imposing circuit 2 and the residual is inputted to a data decoder 6. The data decoder 6 decodes image information inserted within the vertical flyback time of the inputted video signal and outputs the decoded signal to a character generator 7. The character generator 7 outputs a character corresponding to the inputted image information and the circuit 2 imposes the input character on the reproduced video signal. The reproduced video signal on which the character is imposed is inputted to an input terminal 4a of a switch 4 through a field memory 3.
