PURPOSE:To set the coating liquid quantity over a wide range by using an extrusion machine at the final stage in overlapping plural coating liquids of the same characteristic and applying continuous coating so as to keep a gap between a head and a web. CONSTITUTION:In coating liquids A, B of the same characteristic, a 1st coating part 1 is designed to be a reverse roll coater and an extrusion coater is employed for a 2nd coating part 2. In coating the coating liquid A by the 1st coating part 1, longitudinal stripes (unevenness) specific to the roll coater are caused. Then a prescribed gap is kept between the head and the web 3 by the liquid pressure of the coating head of the extrusion coater of the 2nd coating part 2. As a result, the liquid is coated thick to the thin recessed part and thin to the thick projection, then the surface is made flat. The applicable range of the coated liquid quantity with respect to a prescribed speed is selected widely by using the coating method.
