摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a compact, inexpensive laser generator, which is provided with one compact wavelength selecting element in comparison with a conventional element and can obtain laser beams having a plurality of wavelengths, with respect to a plurality of LD light source, by combining two laser beams having the planes of polarization crossing at a right angle into one axis, and passing the resultant beam through one wavelength selecting element. CONSTITUTION:A pair of semiconductor laser light sources 1 and 2 output the laser beams, whose polarization planes are crossed at a right angle. In a first polarized-light-beam splitter 3, the two orthogonally crossing light beams from the pair of the semiconductor laser light sources 1 and 2 are combined into one axis. One wavelength selecting element 5 receives the combined light in one axis. In a second polarized-light-beam splitter 8, the light transmitted through or reflected by said wavelength selecting element 5 is received and split into the two light beams having the orthogonally crossing polarization planes. In four optoelectronic transducer elements 17, 18, 6 and 7, the four light beams, which are obtained from the pair of the semiconduc. tor laser light sources 1 and 2 and the second polarized-light-beam splitter 8, ate transduced into electric signals.
