摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce a fear to be influenced by the external world, and to decrease the number of bits required for encoding by extracting an azimuth data by a light emitting element and a photodetecting circuit, and encoding a wind direction signal of 360 deg. azimuth. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting element 2 is fixed to a revolving shaft 1 of a wind direction sensible part, 16 pieces of photodetectors 3 are placed concentrically on its circumference, an output of the photodetector 3 which receives a light of the light emitting element 2 becomes an electrical output by a photodetecting circuit 4, an output exceeding a prescribed level is provided to an encoding circuit 6 by a threshold level deciding circuit 5, converted to a signal determined by a combination of 4-bit, and it is sent out to an optical fiber 8 through an electrooptic transducer 7. This system is constituted of a receiving path which converts an encoded wind direction signal of 360 deg. azimuth received subsequently to an encoded wind direction signal exceeding 360 deg., and indicates or records it. In this way, a danger to be influenced by the external world is reduced, and also, the number of bits required for the transmission can be decreased.
