PURPOSE:To miniaturize and package the titled device by arranging a magnetostatic wave chip consisting of an oxide single crystal thin film on the center part of a pair of magnets whose insides form a partial curved surface of a rotary ellipsoid to generate magnetostatic waves from the chip. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic york 10' is fitted to the circumference of a pair of magnets 9a, 9b whose insides form a part of the curved surface of the rotary ellipsoid to generate a strong and uniform magnetic field parallel in the Y axis direction. The magnetostatic wave chip 7 cut out by a prescribed area from an oxide single crystal thin film consisting of Y2O3 and Fe2O3 as main components is mounted on the center part of the magnets 9a, 9b and a magnetic field is impressed to the film surface of the chip 7 to generate magnetostatic field to the film surface of the chip 7 to generate magnetostatic waves. Consequently, the device can be miniaturized and stored in a small package.
