PURPOSE:To facilitate the alignment work of a lens body, by a method wherein pre-aligned columnar lens bodies are moved to the predetermined arrangement position of a light path change-over apparatus main body in such a state that the relative height position between the columnar lens bodies are allowed to coincide with an optical axis direction. CONSTITUTION:Rod lenses 4a-4d are preliminarily placed on the V-shaped positioning parts 12a-12d of a positioning parts 12a-12d of a positioning jig 11 to perform the pre-alignment work of the rod lenses 4a-4d. At this time, all of the height dimensions A between the positions of the optical axes O of the rod lenses 4a-4d placed on the lens body positioning parts 12a-12d and a reference bottom surface 13 are set so as to become almost equal, and the spaced-apart distance B between the position of the optical axis O of each of the rod lens 4a-4d and a reference side surface 14 in the lateral direction and the spaced-apart distance C between the optical axes O, O of a pair of the rod lenses 4a-4d adjacent in the direction crossing the axial direction of the rod lens 4a-4d at a right angle are set so as to generate an error of about 1mum from the arrangement state of the rod lenses 4a-4d on a light path change-over apparatus main body 1.
