PURPOSE:To obtain an expellent, containing a copper compound selected from inorganic copper compounds, e.g. basic copper chloride, etc., and organocopper compounds, e.g. copper 8-quinolinolate, etc., and effective against slug, Acusta despecta sieboldiana Pfeiffer, snail, Pomacea canaliculata Lamarck, etc. CONSTITUTION:The titled expellent containing 0.1-100wt% copper compound selected from inorganic copper compounds, e.g. basic copper chloride, basic copper sulfate, basic copper carbonate, cupric hydroxide, cupric chloride, basic calcium copper sulfate, etc., and organocopper compounds, e.g. copper 8- quinolinolate, pentachlorophenolcopper, (dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid)bis(ethylenediamine)copper(II) complex salt, etc. This expellent is used by preparing a blend consisting essentially of a vegetable carrier, mineral carrier, liquid carrier, surfactant, etc., and spraying the blend in the form of dust, granule, wettable powder, emulsion, etc., or charging into water inlets of fields.
