PURPOSE:To prevent a driving device for ultrasonic wave flaw detection from running away and damaging by comparing the voltage output of a profile poten tiometer provided in the driving device with a set value and stopping the driving device when the voltage output exceeds the set value. CONSTITUTION:A servo-system control circuit inputs a reference voltage 1 and inputs it to the driving device 4 through an amplifier 2 and a relay 3. The driving device 4 drives an ultrasonic wave probe to scan a body to be detected and a voltage VP is outputted from the profile potentiometer 5. Further, the upper-limit threshold voltage VH and lower-limit threshold voltage VL of the profile potentiometer 5 are set according to reference voltages 8 and 9 and outputted. The voltage VP of the profile potentiometer 5 is compared 6 and 7 with the upper-limit and lower-limit threshold voltages VH and VL. When the voltage VP of the profile potentiometer 5 is normal, VL<VP<VH and when the voltage deviates from the range, the relay 3 is operated to stop the driving device 4. Thus, the driving device is stopped automatically when the potentiometer is abnormal, so the driving device is prevented from running away. |
