GENERATING DEVICE FOR COLOR DISCRIMINATION REFERENCE

PURPOSE:To obtain a generating device which eliminates the need for data input by an operator by calculating differences of respective pieces of color information between one sample and another sample and setting a value regarding the smallest value among them as the permissible value of the one color sample for the color information of the other color sample. CONSTITUTION:Pieces of color information as to given color samples are generated according to the output of a color sensor 21 and stored. Then 1st color discrimination reference is generated by setting, for example, a value a half as large as a value regarding the smallest value among differences between the color information of some color sample and the color information of the other color sample as the permissible value of the color sample. Then a 2nd color discrimination reference is generated by setting the highest accuracy of the color information as a permissible value. Then color discrimination processing is carried out according to those generated color discrimination reference values.
