PURPOSE:To uniformly patch refractory with right amount on repairing face, by changing supplying quantity and supplying pressure for the refractory by detecting filling pressure for press-patching refractory, at the time of press- feeding the refractory from an inserted pipe for press-feeding in a hole of furnace. CONSTITUTION:The pipe 3 for press-feeding inserted in a tapping hole B of converter A by an inserting cylinder 5 is retreated while press-feeding the refractory R from a pouring hole 11 by a cylinder 9 for press-feeding. At this time, the filling pressure of refractory R discharged from a pouring hole 11 and the pressure of refractory R in the pipe 3 are respectively detected by pressure sensitive elements 22, 23 to input to a controller 21. Further, reaction force received by a piston 10 of the cylinder 9 for press-feeding is detected by a pressure sensitive element 24, to input to the controller 21. The controller 21 detects the filling degree of refractory R by this detected value and controls a hydraulic device 20, to change the supplying quantity and supplying pressure of refractory R.
