PURPOSE:To easily correct a distortion without depending on the accuracy of an optical system, by providing a storage means for storing a data of the distortion by a focus detecting optical system, and a correcting means for applying a correction to a shift quantity detecting means, based on the data stored in said storage means. CONSTITUTION:Two object light beams are led to photodetector trains P1, P2 in a CCD 2, etc., by a focus detecting optical system 1 consisting of a condenser lens C, re-image forming lenses H1, H2, etc., and by a shift quantity detecting means 3, a shift quantity from the focused position of a photographic lens L is detected by the relative position relation of two images formed on the photodetector trains P1, P2. Also, this device is provided with a storage means 4 for storing the data of a distortion by the focus detecting optical system 1, and a correcting means 5 for applying a correction to the shift quantity detecting means 3, based on the data stored in this storage means 4. In such a way, when a correction is applied by the correcting means 5, the shift quantity detecting means can detect a shift quantity which is not influenced by the distortion by the focus detecting optical system 1. |
