摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the characteristic deterioration caused by a phase error, by forming that which has connected in series two pieces of 180 deg. phase shifters whose phase error characteristics are equal, as one pair, placing in series several pairs thereof, and specifying an angle of a phase difference inserting surface of the 180 deg. phase shifter. CONSTITUTION:A polarization plane rotary device is constituted of one pair of two pieces of 180 deg. phase shifters 15, 16 whose phase error characteristics against a frequency and a temperature are equal, and as for the first 180 deg. phase shifter 15, its phase difference inserting surface is inclined by an angle 3alpha/4 from an X1 axis, and as for the second 180 deg. phase shifter 16, its phase difference inserting surface is inclined by an angle alpha/4 from the X1 axis. According to this constitution, an input linear polarized wave 11 inclined by an angle alpha from the X1 axis rotates by the angle alphaand converted to a polarized wave 12 in the X2 axis direction. Accordingly, even if said polarized wave becomes a polarized wave shifted from C0 as a point C1 and C2 by a phase error of the first 180 deg. phase shifter 15, the second 180 deg. phase shifter 16 operates so as to negate them, therefore, each of them is converted to a polarized wave of the vicinity of a point X. In such a way, a power ratio of a main polarized wave component and an intersection polarized wave component, namely, deterioration of an XPD characteristic is reduced.
