PURPOSE:To obtain synthetic mazzite small in primary particles, by crystallizing the mixture of prescribed raw materials under heating while allowing transparent liquid-phase substance which is obtained by mixing respective aq. solns. of alkali silicate, alkali aluminate, alkali hydroxide and tetramethylammonium compd. and aging this mixture to exist. CONSTITUTION:Transparent liquid-phase substance is prepared by mixing an alkali silicate aq. soln. such as sodium silicate, an alkali aluminate aq. soln. such as sodium aluminate, an alkali hydroxide aq. soln. and tetramethylammonium compd. (TMA) and aging this mixture. Then the liquid- phase substance is mixed with a silica source, an alumina source and an alkali source (reactant mixture). The amount of the liquid-phase substance to be added is preferably regulated so that the molar ratio of TMA/SiO2 in the mixture of raw materials obtained by mixing it with the reactant mixture is made to 0.02-0.04. Successively the above-mentioned mixture is immediately raised in temp. and crystallized at 90-140 deg.C crystallization temp. and synthetic mazzite small in primary particles is obtained by removing excess sticking and remaining alkali content from formed crystal by solid-liquid separation and washing, and drying it.
