PURPOSE:To eliminate side absorption of a formed magenta dye and to improve the fastness of the magenta dye image to light by incorporating a magenta coupler and specific compd. into the titled material. CONSTITUTION:At least one of the magenta couplers expressed by formula I and at least one of the compds. expressed by formula II are incorporated into the titled material. In formula I, Z denotes a nonmetallic atomic group necessary for forming a nitrogenous heterocycle, X denotes a hydrogen atom or group which can be eliminated by reaction with the oxidant of a color developing agent, R denotes a hydrogen atom or substituent. In formula II, R<1> denotes an aryl group or heterocyclic group, Z1, Z2 respectively denote an alkylene group of 1-3C, the total sum of the carbon atoms of the alkylene group expressed by Z1, Z2 is 3-6, (n) denotes 1 or 2. The fastness of the magenta dye image to light is thereby improved. |
