PURPOSE:To easily find a contact lens when it is fallen by providing the contact lens with liquid crystal which is colorless and transparent at temperatures close to the bodily temperature, but colors at other temperatures. CONSTITUTION:This contact lens consists of a contact lens main body 2 and a film 3 of liquid crystal formed on the surface of this contact lens main body 2. This contact lens main body 2 is a usual contact lens and the film 3 of liquid crystal contains microcapsuled liquid crystal 4, which is cholesteric liquid crystal. The liquid crystal 4 is in a colorless, transparent state at temperatures (about 35-40 deg.C) close to the bodily temperature, but colors in purple or red at lower temperatures. Consequently, if the contact lens 1 is fallen, the temperature of the contact lens falls nearly to the room temperature and the film colors, so that the contact lens 1 is easily found.
