PURPOSE:To provide shock absorber and anti-roll functions by providing a rotary valve affording communication between upper and lower chambers in a cylinder and a relief valve for relieving oil in the upper chamber to the lower chamber. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower chambers A, B are provided in a cylinder 10 and a path (a) affording communication between the upper and lower chambers A, B is provided outside the cylinder 10. Also, when oil pressure in the upper chamber A becomes too large, a relief valve 24 provided in a main body 22 of piston is opened to release oil pressure into the lower chamber B. Further, the axial portion of a piston rod 21 is provided with a through hole (b) in which a rotary valve 50 is disposed, and an attenuation force is adjusted with an actuator 54 provided on the upper end of piston rod 21 for affording or shutting off communication to said valve 50. |
