PURPOSE:To prepare a vinyl chloride resin which does not turn light red under heating and kneading, by suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride and other vinyl monomer in an aqueous medium in the presence of an initiator soluble in the monomer and two specific compounds. CONSTITUTION:Suspension (co)polymerization of 50-100wt% vinyl chloride monomer and 50-0wt% other vinyl monomer (e.g., ethylene) is started in an aqueous medium in the presence of an initiator (e.g., benzoyl peroxide) soluble in the monomer at 25-80 deg.C with stirring. Then, before the completion of the polymerization, when the conversion reached 65wt% or above, 0.05-0.10pt.wt. compound of formula I (wherein R1-2 is 6-30C alkyloyl, aryloyl or alkaryloyl) and 0.005-0.3pt.wt. triethylene glycol bis-3-(3-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-5- methylphenyl)-propinate, based on 100pts.wt. monomers in total, are added to complete the polymerization.
