PURPOSE:To securely separate copying paper from a photosensitive body drum by providing a conductor closely on the downstream side of the transfer area of the photosensitive body drum. CONSTITUTION:The conductive member 2 is provided more downstream than the transfer area of the photosensitive drum 1 closely to the outer peripheral surface before a copying paper conveyance path extending to a fixing device. Charges having the opposite polarity are induced on the side of the conductive member 2 nearby copying paper under the influence of charges which are generated by a transfer charger and present on the surface of the copying paper P. Then, Coulomb force generated between the charges which differ in polarity operates on the copying paper P as a separating force and the copying paper P is separated from the photosensitive body drum 1 smoothly and conveyed toward the fixing device through the copying paper conveyance path. |
