PURPOSE:To enhance ultraviolet ray interruption effect and oxidation resistance by incorporating a specified compound in a photosensitive layer to be formed on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer of the electrophotographic sensitive body formed on the conductive substrate 1 contains an electric charge generating material 5 and a charge transfer material 6 and the compound represented by formula I in which R is halogen atom which may be substituted with hydrogen, OH, alkyl, or alkoxy group; R' is R which may be substituted with hydrogen, or carboxy group; each of (m) and (m') is 0-4; each of (n) and (n') is 0 or 1; and when each of (m) and (m') is >=2, each of R may be same or different, thus permitting the obtained organic photoconductive sensitive body to be applied to the cases of positive and negative charging, and to be superior in sensitivity, resistance to environmental conditions, especially, in resistances to ultraviolet rays and oxidation, and in the durability of physical properties. |
