PURPOSE:To obtain the titled ferrite granular powder excellent in orientation properties, by using ferrite particles having specified composition. CONSTITUTION:Fe raw material such as (hydrated)iron oxide, Sr raw material such as SrCO3 and Ba raw material such as BaCl2 are mixed so that the molar ratio is regulated to (6.0-0.5):(0.90-0.96):(0.04-0.10) and Bi2O3 is added if necessary and the mixture is heated and calcined at 1,100-1,300 deg.C and thereafter pulverized. Thereby ferrite granular powder for a bond magnet having a formula Sr1-xBaxO.nFe2O3 (x=0.04-0.10, n=6.0-6.5) wherein Bi2O3 may be contained is obtained.
