Disproportionation of olefins, especially of ethylene and 2-butene with a view to obtaining propylene. The process is characterised in that it is carried out in the presence of a rhenium catalyst in a moving bed reaction zone at a relatively low temperature between 0 and 100 DEG C, the catalyst being then reoxidised in two stages at different temperatures.
