PURPOSE:To easily measure the height of an electric pole without being disturbed by a body mounted on the pole by using two telescope which are provided at specific height and at a specific horizontal distance at a place distant from the electric pole. CONSTITUTION:A level 2 with the telescopes is arranged at the proper place distance from the electric pole 1 and the two telescopes 21 and 22 are fitted at the constant height H and at the constant horizontal distance (d). Then the elevation angles alpha and beta to the upper ends of the electric pole 1 are measured through the telescopes 21 and 22. Consequently, the electric pole height X is easily measured by substituting those measured values in a specific expression within ranges of the elevation angles alpha and beta wherein there is not disturbance of a transformer 3.
