PURPOSE:To measure the temp. of a conductor by simple constitution, by forming an opening part to the outer wall of the title machinery to mount a specific transmitting material thereto and detecting the infrared rays from the conductor in the machinery through the transmitting material. CONSTITUTION:Conductors 2, 4 are connected by a tulip contact 3 in a GIS container and the container 1 is filled with SF6-gas. An opening part 5 is formed to the outer wall of the container 1 and a transmitting material 6 is mounted to the opening part 5 and an optical fiber 8 is arranged outside the material 6. As the above mentioned material 6, zinc sulfide, zinc selenide or magnesium fluoride is used and a film composed of sodium fluoride is pref. formed to the surface of the material 6. By this constitution, the infrared rays from the contact 3 are incident to one end of the fiber 8 through the material 6 and the temp. thereof can be calculated by a detector 9.
