PURPOSE:To improve mechanical strength without deteriorating the cleanliness of an alloy, by adding specific amounts of N to a Co-base super heat-resisting alloy for casting. CONSTITUTION:The Co-base super heat-resisting alloy for casting has a composition consisting of, by weight ratio, 0.20-0.30% C, 0.75-1.0% Si, 0.40-1.0% Mn, 24.5-30.5% Cr, 9.5-11.5% Ni, 6.5-8.0% W, <=2.0% Fe, 0.005-0.015% B, 0.020-0.10% N, and the balance Co. Since proper amounts of N are added and C and Cr contents are limited to relatively low and relatively high values, respectively, in this alloy, this alloy is principally composed of Cr23C6 and N is allowed to enter into solid solution in Cr23C6 to refine carbides and also to improve strength at high temp. This alloy has characteristics optimum as precision cast blade material for gas turbine.
