PURPOSE:To facilitate the dropping of condensate adhered to a heat exchanger and reduce air passage resistance and thermal resistance by a method wherein the air passage for flowing sucked air of the heat exchanger is inclined from inlet side to outlet side. CONSTITUTION:Air entered at a suction louver 1 is passed through a cross flow plate fin type heat exchanger 2 and precooled there and moisture content is removed as condensate. The air entered at the suction louver 1 through the heat exchanger 2 is cooled by air which is already passed through an evaporator 3 and directed toward a condensor 4. Low temperature air passed through the evaporator 3 is passed through the heat exchanger 2, reheated by the condensor 4 and then blown out from a discharging gallery 6 under operation of a fan 5. The dew condensation adhered to a wall surface of the air passage 11 of the heat exchanger 2 is pushed by air flow entered due to the inclination of the air passage 11 toward the evaporator 3, so that the water is dropped into a water receptacle pan 7 below the evaporator 3 due to its own weight and then enters a water receptacle tank 8. So, the air passage is not clogged and a dehumidifying capability is not prohibited through thermal resistance. |
