PURPOSE:To greatly change the capacity of a compressor to increase convergence to a set room temperature value and to effectively prevent the hunting of the room temperature caused by the mixing of a noise when the set room temperature value has been actually changed by eliminating the effect due to the mixing of noise in the set room temperature signal of a remote controller. CONSTITUTION:When the set temperature value of a remote controller 15 has been changed, it is reset in a frequency step N of an inverter 10, and the air conditioning ability of a compressor 1 becomes high, it therefore converges toward a set room temperature signal value after the change. In a case where a noise is mixed in the set room temperature signal from the remote controller 15, the change width of the set room temperature signal value is small, and set room temperature adjusting means 42 holds the set room temperature signal value before the change. Therefore, the resetting of the frequency step N by control means 43 is not carried out, the capacity of the compressor 1 is not largely changed, and the actual room temperature does not cause hunting but is held in a state where the room temperature converges as it is at the set room temperature value. Accordingly, the effect of minute variation of the set room temperature caused by the mixing of the noise is eliminated, and the hunting of the room temperature can be prevented.
