<p>PURPOSE:To excellently perform the append system recording by utilizing the recording device of a digital audio tape recorder (DAT), recording an ending signal at the end of recording for one time and recording duplicately from the position of this ending signal for the next time. CONSTITUTION:Two slant tracks are formed by one revolution of rotary heads A and B, making these two slant tracks as one frame, and a DAT 1 is provided as such that a digital signal is encoded to be recorded and reproduced within the one frame for completion. Then, the specific ending signal is recorded for a period more than detectable by high speed searching at the end of recording for one time, and for the next recording the beginning of the ending signal is detected and its position is superposed by the recording to commence. At the time of append, a first ending signal from the tip of the tape is searched and from that position the next recording is performed so that an excellent append system recording can be carried out.</p> |
