PURPOSE:To remove the biassed magnetization of a transformer, and to overlap a DC section by setting the non-conduction time of the same time as the conduction time after a switching element is conducted in a push-pull type high tension power supply. CONSTITUTION:A high tension power is constituted of an input terminal VIN for a power supply for driving the high tension power, a comparator A, a pulse generator OSC, switching elements Q1, Q2, a step-up transformer TH, an output current detector RS and high-tension output terminals H, L, and supplies a corona discharger CH for load with electric power. AC high tension is induced in a secondary winding N2 for the transformer TH, the currents of the corona discharger CH are detected by the detector RS and fed back, and the conduction time of the switching elements Q1, Q2 is controlled so that the DC section of output currents reaches a fixed value. The reset periods of the switching elements Q1, Q2 are brought to T11=T12 and T21=T22 the same as each conduction period at that time, and the switching elements are operated, using a pair of positive and negative drive periods T as one period. Accordingly, a core for the transformer TH does not generate biassed magnetization. |
