An edge connector has contacts which connect an integrated circuit unit to contacts of a similar connector which receives a printed circuit panel. In one embodiment, contact members 36 (Fig. 4), have pairs of spring arms 48, 50 for receiving contacts 68 (Fig. 2) of an integrated circuit unit 8 which pass through openings 29 in an insulating connector housing 5; and further spring arms 42 for co-operating with conductors on a printed circuit panel disposed in a slot 18. The contact arms 42, 48, 50 are offset from a yoke portion 40 which abuts a shoulder 34 in the housing 5 and the contacts 36 are held in position by a mounting block 58 and have terminal posts 6 extending through it. A printed circuit panel (12, Fig. 1, not shown) may be located in slots 18 of two adjacent housings 5 secured to a support panel 2. Another panel (10) may have laterally extending arms which are located in slots 18 of two spaced housings 5 and carry horizontal printed conductors with vertical extensions to contact selected spring arms 42. The mounting block 58 has a rib 62 for engaging a slot 64 in the housing 5 and is secured to the panel 2 by fasteners 60. The terminal posts 6 are selectively interconnected by wiring. In another embodiment the blocks 58 are omitted and housings 51 (Fig. 11) extend through a support panel 21 and are secured thereto by fasteners 601. Each contact 361 has projections 80 which resiliently engage the walls of the housing 51, a boss 84 engaging a shoulder of the housing. The contacts 68 are received between a contact arm 441 and a shoulder 92, and a contact arm 421 may contact conductors on a printed circuit panel arm 721. The housing 51 has a through spring (86, Fig. 10, not shown) to locate a keying tooth (90, Fig. 15, not shown) on the panel arm 721. A transverse slot (88) divides the housing 51 into portions each housing fourteen openings 291.
