<p>PURPOSE:To enable the same rotary cylinder to cope with >= two different rated magnetic tapes for the recording and reproduction by making a half of the cylinder participate in a 1st lead angle and the remaining half in a 2nd lead angle and giving consequently two different lead angles to one cylinder. CONSTITUTION:In order to keep constantly a crossed axes angle of the rotary surface of a magnetic head 3a against the magnetic tape, a main lead part 9a for guiding the tape is provided at a boundary between a main tape contact part 7a and main tape non-contact part 8a, and a static tape lead angle theta is determined by this main lead part 9a. Never-theless the rear surface of the cylinder 1 is the same as the front surface in constitution, a secondary lead part 9b, secondary tape contact part 7b and secondary tape non-contact part 8b for their secondary lead angle thetab are provided for picture recording and reproducing on a tape with the secondary lead angle thetab different from the main lead angle thetaa on the front surface. In this way, different rated magnetic tapes can be recorded and reproduced by the same cylinder.</p> |
