PURPOSE:To obtain the forming device excellent in working accuracy by providing the gripping mechanism of the object to be formed and the transferring and supporting mechanism supporting the gripping mechanism in pushing direction in a freely reciprocating manner. CONSTITUTION:A forming plate 4 is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder 6 which has been set, thereby pushing the thin wall cylinder 6 to left side. The whole mechanism supported on a roller table is moved to left side, and since the cylinder is gripped by a roller receiving member 17, the shaft axes of the cylinder 6 and a shaft 1 are mutually shifted in horizontal direction, but the parallel relationship of each shaft axis is not changed. Further, the forming plate 4 is pushed to the cylinder 6 with a piston cylinder device 26, and suitable forming force is obtained, and then the forming begins by rotating the shaft 1. In this time, since the cylinder 6 is surely gripped by the roller receiving member 17, the cylinder 6 rotates, while holding the parallel relationship of the shaft cores of the shaft 1 and the cylinder 6, whereby since a formed bellows intersects accurately in right angles with the shaft axis of the cylinder 6, the quality of the formed object is very excellent. |
