摘要 PURPOSE:To protect a disk from being ejected by mistake by locking an ejector means of a ejection mechanism during the read/write operation of a floppy disk drive (FDD). CONSTITUTION:When a READY-signal is outputted from the FDD under the disk loading state, an ejector 18 is locked to be prohibited from moving according to an ejector locking signal I from a CPU 28. That is, when the FDD becomes ready for commencing its drive (under the starting condition for the read/write operation, inclusive of seek operation), the ejector 18 is locked so that the disk can not be ejected, even if an ejection button 13 is pushed. Consequently, the disk is never ejected at the time of read/write operation on this disk, even if the ejection button 13 is actuated by accident.
