PURPOSE:To inhibit a temperature rise in a rotor based on iron loss by constituting a rotor core section of the rotor by laminating thin electromagnetic iron plates. CONSTITUTION:A magnet type rotor 11 has a rotor shaft 12 fitted to a shaft 1 turned and driven by a gas turbine engine, a rotor core section 13 externally fitted to the rotor shaft 12 through a key or a pin 16, and a large number of magnets 14 disposed along the outer circumference of the rotor core section 13. The rotor core section 13 is constituted by laminating a large number of thin electromagnetic iron plates having insulating films and thickness of approximately 0.05-0.8mm, and formed to a polygonal sectional shape.
