PURPOSE:To permit the easy and certain fixation by fixing a part of the shaft part of a boss having a collar onto a bracket by caulking said shaft part, in the installation of a cable supporting piece through the boss having a collar onto the bracket fixed onto a shift lever. CONSTITUTION:A boss 4 having a collar is fixed onto a bracket 3 fixed onto a shift lever through welding, etc., and a supporting piece 5 is rotatably supported onto the boss 4, and the edge part of a cable is fixed onto the supporting piece 5. In the manufacture of the supporting part, a plurality of recessed grooves 32 are formed onto the inner peripheral surface of an installation hole 31 formed on the bracket 3. The shaft part 41 of the boss 4 having a collar which has the nearly equal diameter to the hole 31 is inserted into the installation hole 31, and the shaft part 41 in the projection state is loaded onto a pressing board, and pressed by a pressing mold 62, and then a part of the thick shaft part 41 is deformed outwardly to form a collar part 45, and the recessed groove 32 is filled with the penetration part into the hole 31 through deformation, and the both 3 and 4 are formed integrally.
