PURPOSE:To attain a selective use by leading or emitting plural rays different in wavelength and leading them to the same optical axis by a multiplexer and changing the driving frequency of an acoustooptic element to obtain a certain Bragg angle and switching rays with one acoustooptic optical. CONSTITUTION:Single mode optical fibers 6 and 7 for input as light incidence means lead rays different in wavelength from each other. The light led by the optical fiber 6 is made incident on one face of a multiplexer 14 by a prism 9 and is reflected with >=95%. The light led by the optical fiber 7 is transmitted with >=95% and is led to the same optical axis as the optical fiber and is transmitted through an acoustooptic element 1 and is made incident on a single mode optical fiber 5 to be checked. The reflected component of the incident light is subjected to Bragg diffraction by the driven acoustooptic element 1 and is led by a prism 9' and is made incident on a multimode optical fiber 8 for diffracted light output. Thus, plural rays different in wavelength are selectively used by switching of one acoustooptic optical switch.
