PURPOSE:To improve the blocking rate of fine particles without deteriorating the water permeability of the title filter cloth, by applying the appropriate frequency of first gigging to a satin fabric base material, impregnating the material with urethane to bind the material and to fix the warp density, and then carrying out additional gigging. CONSTITUTION:The crimped yarn of 50-500 denier is used as the warp, and the multifilament consisting of the extra fine fibers of <=10mum thickness or spun yarn is used as the woof to form the satin fabric base material consisting of synthetic fiber. The appropriate frequency of first gigging is applied to the material, then the material is impregnated with urethane and bound to fix the warp density, ad additional gigging is further carried out. As a result, the raising amt. is increased by the giggings without remarkably contracting the filter cloth in a transverse direction, and the blocking rate of fine particles can be improved without deteriorating the water permeability of the filter cloth.
