PURPOSE:To decrease the power consumption by operating the 1st sense amplifier selectively and operating the sole 2nd sense amplifier only. CONSTITUTION:The 1st sense amplifiers S3, S4 are controlled depending whether a sense amplifier selection signal or a selection signal of a column decoder is given and the 2nd sense amplifier S2 is controlled by the selection signal of the column decoder. Thus, only the plural 1st sense amplifiers S3, S4 selected by the sense amplifier selection signal and the 1st and 2nd sense amplifiers connected to bit lines D, DB selected by the column decoder selection signal are operated at the information readout and only the power required to operate the sense amplifiers of the limited number is consumed. Thus, the power consumption is reduced. |
