PURPOSE:To simplify the assembly and repair of a solar battery array by fixing respective solar battery cells by clinching pins. CONSTITUTION:Each solar battery cell 4 is held between two elastic clinching pins 11 and, further, one top edge of each solar battery cell 4 is clinched by the visor 12b of the clinching pin 11 from the surface of a cover glass 6 and the other top edge of each solar cell 4 where an upper electrode 10a is exposed is in such a manner that one end 9a of an interconnector 9 protruding along the lower surface of the overhang 12a of the pin 11 is pressed against the upper electrode 10a. If a required number of the solar battery cells 4 are successively inserted into cell spaces like this, the respective solar battery cells 4 can be fixed on a substrate 8 without using adhesive and, moreover, a large number of the solar battery cells can be connected in series without soldering or welding. |
