PURPOSE:To reduce a heat shrinkage factor by impregnating a section between conductors for field windings with an epoxy resin to which powder fillers such as silica are mixed. CONSTITUTION:An enamel-insulated superconducting wire 1 is used, saddle- shaped superconducting field windings 2A, 2B are formed by winding the wire 1, and the whole windings are vacuum-impregnated with an epoxy resin 5, into which proper quantities of silica powder fillers 3 and glass fiber chop fillers 4 are mixed, and pressure-molded. According to such monolithic molding, the silica powder fillers 3 having a small thermal expansion coefficient and a small quantity of the glass fiber chop fillers 4 are mainly intertwined with the epoxy resin 5 and interposed among conductors 6 for the windings 2A, 2B. A large number of the glass fiber chop fillers 4 are distributed to winding surface layers, thus shaping surface resin layers 7. Consequently, heat shrinkage stress is reduced, and mechanical strength is increased, thus preventing the generation of cracks. |
