PURPOSE:To improve reliability on operation by a method wherein a memory, storing a number of news papers sorting processing data, the control timing of an sorter, set data required for partition, is situated in a first control part, and the memories of a first and a second control part are compared with each other for operation. CONSTITUTION:Number of news papers sorting processing data, required for operation of a number of news papers sorter, the control timing of a sorter, set data required for partition are stored in the memories of first and second control parts 40 and 20, and during operation, the memory contents of the memories are compared with each other for operation. After through the comparison, it is confirmed that there is no error in data required for partition, a sorting state in a number of news papers sorter becomes obvious with the aid of a display means.
