PURPOSE:To make a drop preventive device receiving rail for the carry-in and out device for automated warehouse in a small size by installing a guide surface for the guide roller of an elevating/sinking table at the right and left side-faces of a prop, and by providing a drop preventive device receiving rail at the inner side-face of the prop. CONSTITUTION:The guide roller 19 of an elevating/sinking table is guided by the guide surface 16 of a prop 8 by taking up or paying off a chain on/from a drum, and a roller 31 is guided by the inner side-face 29, and the elevating/ sinking table rises and falls without swing. If at this time chain 23 is cut, the hanging force by the chain 23 is eliminated, and the inner ends of actuating links 37A, 37B are pulled up by the tensile force of a spring 41 through a middle folded link 38, while the sinking force of an elevating/sinking rod 43 or links 47A, 47B by their own weight is applied to the other end. Thereby nipping pieces 34, 34B are swung, and cam surfaces 35A, 35B receive, and biting into a rail 30 is made to provide prevention of drop. Thus a drop preventive rail can be constructed in a small size.
