PURPOSE:To obtain a stabilized composition preventing deterioration caused by heavy metallic ions such as especially copper, by blending an alkylene oxide polymer with a salicyloylamino compound, a mercapto fatty acid alkyl ester and melamine. CONSTITUTION:(A) An alkylene oxide polymer is blended with (B) 0.1-5pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. sum of a composition of a salicyloylamino compound [e.g. 2-(N-salicyloyl)aminothiazole] shown by formula I (R is ring bond constituting nitrogen-containing 5-membered ring or 6-membered ring), (C) 0.1-2.5pts.wt. mercapto fatty acid alkyl ester (e.g. dioctyl thiodiacetate) shown by formula II [X is 1-3C alkylene; R2 is 4-20C alkyl; R3 is 4-20C alkyl or fatty acid ester group shown by formula III (R4 is 4-20C alkyl) and (D) 0.1-2.5pts.wt. melamine, for example, the component A is reacted with polyisocyanate to give a prepolymer, which is mixed with any of various crosslinking agents and the components B-D.
