PURPOSE:To image print required information as well as to copy an original by image printing character information and reading picture information by disposing the character information at a predetermined position. CONSTITUTION:At the time of reading the original by a handy copying machine 1, a power source and reading/print changeover switch 4 is set to a position of 'reading'. When it is desired to add a message such as a copying data, a heading to the copying picture, a key input part 10a is previously operated before a moving and reading operation to form the required character information. Further, when the read picture data is printed out, after the power source and reading/print changeover switch 4 is switched to the position of 'print', a print part 3 is brought into contact with an imaging paper A and the handy copying machine 1 is moved in a direction shown by an arrow X while operating keys 5a, 5b are pressed. In this case, the character information formed before reading is printed and outputted to the leading position of the read picture data. Thereby, the required character information can be imaged simultaneously with the original copying.
