PURPOSE:To prevent bending of a high temperature thin metallic sheet, by a method wherein a projected surface crown is formed on the outer surface of a roll supporting the high temperature thin metallic sheet, and the projection is set to a valve at which the bending stress in the direction of width of the metallic sheet, bent therealong, produces a stress being the yield stress or less of the metal. CONSTITUTION:When a high temperature thin steel sheet 2 is bent in a circular manner in the direction of width, high strength is provided for the high temperature thin steel sheet 2 itself, and as a result, a bending stress and a bending amount in a longitudinal direction can be sharply reduced. Thus, when the high temperature thin steel sheet, a circular projected crown, having a projection amount X being equivalent to displacement Y, is formed on an outer surface 1a of a conveyance roll 1, and the high temperature thin steel sheet 2 is supported for conveyance, the high temperature thin steel sheet 2 can be conveyed in a state where a bending amount in a longitudinal direction of the high temperature thin steel sheet 2 is reduced to a value approximately equal to zero.
