PURPOSE:To certainly guide paper to a printing position and to certainly exclude the paper after printing from the printing position to enhance operability, by providing a drive means for reciprocally driving a paper guide member for guiding the paper on the outer peripheral surface of a platen between the first position for guiding the paper to the printing position and the second position for guiding the paper at the time of printing and driving a paper feed means. CONSTITUTION:A movable type paper guide 27 has the cam part 27a brought into contact with the pin 25a of a pulley 25. That is, a paper feed roller 18 is rotated by the rotation of a pulse motor M2 and the pulley 25 rotates through a belt 36 and, in parallel to this operation, the paper guide 27 reciprocally moves around a platen roller 22 between points C, D. The paper feed roller 18 is integrally constituted of a plurality of roller main bodies 18a arranged in the axial direction so as to be spaced apart from each other, the shaft 18c having the roller main bodies 18a coaxially fixed thereto and the pulley 18d and gear 18e coaxially fixed to one end of the shaft 18c on this side thereof. The shaft 18c is connected to the pulse motor M2 as a paper feed motor.
