The gases which are to be cleaned enter the arrangement via the inlet port. Water is sprayed into the system. The gases pass downwards towards the sepn. chamber. A cooling medium e.g. water is circulated in the system. The gases are cooled via the heat exchanger surfaces. Water condenses on the solid material in the gases and water droplets grow. Free particles and the condensate which contains solids collect in the sepn. chamber. |
