PURPOSE:To eliminate the transfer delay of a time division multiplexer applying relaying and to relieve the load of the softward processing by allowing a time division multiplexer applying the relaying to connect or release of a remote control channel between time division multiplexers designated from an adjacent control channel. CONSTITUTION:A prescribed time slot is ensured as a remote control channel is common to time division multiplexers 110, 120, 130 in addition to the adjacent control channel to a multiplex data of multiplex lines 140, 150. The division multiplexer 110 applying remote control adds a device number of a remote time division multiplexer 130 for the connection request or relies request to the multiplexer 130 of the adjacent control channel for the time division multiplexer 120 applying the relay and assigns the data of remote control to the remote control channel for the time division multiplexer 120 applying relaying to send it to the time division multiplexer 120. The time division multiplexer 120 applying relaying connects or releases the remote control channel and the remote control channel for the remote time division multiplexer 130 for the time division multiplexer 120 relaying based on the device number added to the connection request or release request to be sent.
