<p>PURPOSE:To straighten a camber without giving a damage to a material to be straightened by forming one part of a backup roll in larger diameter, forming the barrel length of the large diameter part narrower than the width of the material to be straightened and arranging it at the position different from the width center of the material to be straightened. CONSTITUTION:A work roll 1 opposing up and down is driven by a driving motor 6 with its rotation via a pinion stand 5 and an universal joint 2. The backup roll 4 approaching one part at least of opposing work rolls, e.g., the work roll 1 at the upper side only and forming one part of the roll in a larger diameter is arranged. The barrel length of the part formed in larger diameter of this backup roll 4 is formed narrower than the width of the material 3 to be straightened and it is arranged at the position different form the width center of the material 3 to be straightened.</p> |
